The Call to Connect Ministry has held many gatherings for women of a spiritual nature to date.
Some examples include the following in no special order;
1) Women's mornings/afternoons/evenings
a) On the theme of "Amazing Grace" which included a talk, testimony, reflection time, prayer and afternoon tea.
b) On the themes of "Forgiveness and Mercy" with a picnic lunch, presented by prayer group leaders. Content included contemplation of scripture, prayers, talk and response.
c) "Safe in God's Heart" with guest speaker Majella Bollen followed by afternoon tea
d) "To know the love of our God" presented by prayer group leaders. Content including a talk, prayers, contemplation and discussion groups. Lunch followed at the end.
e) "Coming into the heart of Advent" presented by CTC co-ordinators. Talks, reflection time and prayer ministry.
f) "Trusting in God's promises" presented by prayer group leaders. Prayers, scripture, testimony and response.
g) Supper, prayers & movie showing of "Nefarious Merchant of Souls" and addresses by Vicki Dunn ACT politician & Sr Genny Ryan from ACRATH on human trafficking
2) Women's Breakfasts
a) "God & me, more than I can imagine" guest speaker Sr Therese Mills MGL
b) Ecumenical Advent prayer Breakfasts with power point
c) "Hope in Life's demanding journey" guest speaker Ellen Moore
d) Ecumenical gathering for Prayers for our families and community" with power point
a) "Myself as the Beloved Disciple" presented by the co-ordinators and with guest speaker
Fr Ken Barker MGL. A day retreat with lunch
b)"Do not let your hearts be troubled" overnight retreat at Warrambui, presented by the co-ordinators and with Fr Geoffrey Coombe MGL as guest speaker
c) "Trusting God in Hard Times" at the Carmelite Monastery presented by the co-ordinators and with guest speaker Fr Ken Barker MGL
d) "Open the Door of your hearts" at the Carmelite Monastery presented by Judy Bowe mgl, Fr Steve Fletcher Mgl, Anne and myself with sharings from Anne Hartwell and Kim Hofmeier.
